Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL): What Does It Mean?
search for terms
BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) is a short-term financing option that lets you split a purchase into smaller payments over a set period, usually without interest. The most common version divides a purchase into four equal payments spread over about six weeks. Some providers also offer longer-term BNPL plans that function more like installment loans and may include interest charges, so it's worth checking the terms before you check out.
Missing a payment can lead to late fees, and some BNPL providers now report payment history to the credit bureaus. Because it's easy to stack several BNPL plans at once, keeping track of every due date helps you avoid overextending your budget.
