A PIN (Personal Identification Number) is your private 4 or 6 digit security code that proves you're authorized to access your bank account or credit card. You enter it at ATMs to withdraw cash and at payment terminals when using your debit card.
Your PIN is like a password for your money - it's meant to be something only you know. Never share your PIN with anyone, and avoid obvious choices like "1234" or your birth year. If someone has both your card and your PIN, they can access your account, so keep it confidential and memorize it rather than writing it down. You can usually change your PIN through your bank's ATM, website, or mobile app if you want to update it. If you forget your PIN or suspect someone else knows it, contact your bank immediately to reset it and protect your account.
